'NCIS: LA' season 7 finale: Sam rescues his son from Tahir Khaled

"NCIS: Los Angeles" just closed its seventh season with its final episode titled "Talion." It was filled with heart-stopping moments, but was still able to bring a lighter tone at times.
Sam's (LL Cool J) nemesis, Tahir Khaled (Anslem Richardson), went to Keating Military Academy with the intention of targeting Aiden, Sam's son. Thankfully, Aiden was capable enough to send Sam and his team a distress signal about the terrorist organization holding the school's students hostage. The mission got understandably personal for Sam, seeing as his son's life was on the line.
The team then flew to San Francisco in an effort to save the students and Aiden before it's too late. While on the plane, Sam and the others tried to think of the best possible way to deal with the situation without risking everyone's lives. Meanwhile, Aiden managed to hide from Tahir for a while, but when the terrorist threatened to kill people if he wouldn't show himself, Aiden was left with no choice. Tahir shot a teacher in the leg just as the team arrived.
Kensi (Daniela Ruah) swapped clothes with one of the students and took her place in the ordeal. She got herself captured by Tahir so that she could go undercover where the action was. She managed to distract some of the men long enough, allowing Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) to barge in and take them out. The students are then rescued.
Sam, overcome with emotion, charged at Tahir with the intention of killing him. Aiden, however, gave him a look of disapproval, and Sam managed to control himself and hugs his son. Tahir was then taken by the authorities.
"NCIS: Los Angeles" has officially been renewed for an eighth season, giving writers more time and space to expound on the mole that was brought up in the episode. The issue was left unresolved, so it's only reasonable to argue that the mole will once again become a topic of conversation when season 8 rolls around.
The premiere of the new season, however, is still unknown since CBS has yet to make an announcement. Nothing about the plot has been revealed as well.
