'NCIS: New Orleans' season 2 spoilers: Squad cleans up after a fiery explosion in episode 22

Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) and his squad will be asked to investigate a huge blast that will rock the city in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "NCIS: New Orleans."
In "Help Wanted," TV Guide reports that a century old restaurant located in the French Quarter will suddenly explode. Upon investigation, NOLA will find out that the target is a culinary specialist for the Navy who is out to visit her family. The fact that the culprit knows when she will arrive in the place suggests a premeditated murder. The killer does not care if there are innocent victims who will die, as long as the specialist is one of them.
Meanwhile, a new lead will come up about a previous case involving a general and a dead lieutenant. Agent Meredith Brody (Zoe McLellan) will track it to Washington, D.C. Last episode, a female officer died due to arsenic poisoning. She was drinking wine with a general in his hotel room when she vomited blood and dropped dead. The general was also brought to the hospital, as traces of arsenic could also be found in his system.
The NCIS members all thought that they were having an affair. The victim's father even told them she was dating someone, but wanted to keep it a secret. It turned out all their meetings were about a case she was working on. She believed corruption was rampant in the port area and that someone from the higher ups had been stealing millions from the government. She asked the general, her father's good friend, to help her out in the case.
The person who poisoned her somehow learned about the investigation. When the squad apprehended and jailed him, he was later found dead due to arsenic poisoning. Dr. Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder), however, believed it was not suicide. This meant that someone else had been pulling the strings and now, Brody thinks he is hiding somewhere in D.C.
"NCIS: New Orleans" season 2 episode 22 airs Tuesday, May 3 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
