'NCIS: Los Angeles' season 7 episode 8 spoilers: Team searches for missing girl who might have joined a terrorist group; Deeks is arrested by Internal Affairs

The "NCIS" franchise and its spinoffs – "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "NCIS: New Orleans" – have never been afraid to touch on current and controversial subjects. The previous episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" proved that as it tackled a Scientology-like cult. This time around, the show will be touching on one of the more alarming issues we have today, teens who run away to join terrorist groups.

A synopsis for episode eight of "NCIS: Los Angeles'" season seven reveals that the team is looking for a missing teenager who might have been recruited by a terrorist organization.

This is further emphasized by a trailer for the episode which begins with Callen (Chris O'Donnell) telling Sam (LL Cool J) that some girls have gone missing, followed by scenes of a frightened teenaged girl and the men who might have targeted her. More alarmingly, Hetty (Linda Hunt) tells Owen (Miguel Ferrer) that "ISIS is coming for our children."

The terrorist group has proven to be surprisingly attractive to numerous teenagers, with several young women proven to have left home to join ISIS and become brides to their fighters. CNN's piece on the ISIS propaganda machine shed some light on this issue and showed how much work still has to be done. Hopefully the episode will provide viewers an insight into this real but disturbing problem.

As if racing against an alleged terrorist organization is not enough, the teaser clip ends with Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) being arrested. He tells Kensi (Daniela Ruah) that he loves her before he is led away.

The enigmatic detective has been having some big story arcs recently, like the previous episode which saw Kensi and Deeks going undercover in order to infiltrate the Church of the Unlocked Mind. The episode, titled "An Unlocked Mind," revolved around a church, much like Scientology, insists on total honesty from its members and forces them to reveal their secrets. Unfortunately, one of their new members works for the Department of Defense and might have shared some highly classified information that's on the verge of being sold. Deeks had to fight through a number of men to get to Kensi so that they can escape.

The next episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles" is set to air on Nov. 16 on CBS.
