Nokia 3310 release date, news: Handset to be released in late May or early June?

Nokia 3310 was once the most popular handset in the world, proving to the industry that Nokia has what it takes to be a global leader in handset manufacturing. The company is relaunching the classic device with better screen features and specs under the hood.
The revamped edition of the classic Nokia 3310 has a rear camera, durable features, colorful screens, and other improvements in terms of specs. Based on the data released by Carphone Warehouse, the release date of the device is strongly anticipated as there was ten times more pre-registration interest on the device as compared to other upcoming flagship handsets this year.
The launch of 3310 is made possible by HMD Global, who acquired ownership of Nokia. The company's Head of Marketing for Eastern Europe, Tomislav Himbele, stated that the phone will come out in the United Kingdom at the end of the second quarter.
It will be launched with other new Nokia models — the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 5. All the devices will arrive in May or in the first half of June.
However, according to Express, it is still uncertain whether the company has manufactured enough units of the 3310, given the high demand for the device. Other handset manufacturers have faced difficulties in keeping up with the demands of the market, especially when their devices are newly released. Nokia 3310 enthusiasts may possibly wait for months to get their own unit.
Additionally, tech analysts are seeing minor issues with the handset. It is not compatible with Facebook or WhatApp, which are two of the most used programs in the world. Also, its lack of support in messaging may not impress the market.
Other pending issues seen is the phone's 2G network and its GSM support with frequencies between 900 MHz and 1800 MHz. Several countries, including the United States and Netherlands, will be ditching their 2G network soon, and Nokia 3310 may be deemed unusable in that aspect.
Nevertheless, the euphoria that the model brings may still be its strong selling point.
