'One Punch Man' season 2 rumors: Garou is main villain, not Lord Boros

(Facebook/One Punch Man)Rumors claim that Saitama will battle Garou in "One Punch Man" season 2.

While there is no denying that rumors claiming that Lord Boros will regenerate and face Saitama/One Punch Man anew in the upcoming season 2 of "One Punch Man" are persistent, the latest reports say that it will not be the case as Garou will be the main opponent of the bald superhero when the highly anticipated anime series returns.

Without question, "One Punch Man" season 2 is one rumor magnet. Although there are a lot of rumors attached to the anime, the one saying that Saitama and Lord Boros will battle once more when the anime series returns has lingered for months already.

According to persistent reports, Lord Boros will return stronger than the last time he faced Saitama, which resulted in his defeat in the season 1 finale of the anime series. Because he is stronger, it is said that he will make Saitama bite the dust this time around, which means that Saitama will experience his first-ever defeat in the hands of Lord Boros.

However, according to the latest in the rumor mill, there is no truth to such speculations as, based on the manga version of the anime, Saitama will be exchanging blows with Garou, a hero hunter who will be the anime's next main antagonist for its upcoming season.

Apart from Saitama battling Lord Boros anew, unconfirmed reports about the Monster Association ganging up on Saitama have also been around. Nonetheless, it is said that it will unlikely be the case, as well, as the manga adaptation of "One Punch Man" has not explored the said storyline yet. Reportedly, the manga currently features Saitama assuming a different identity as Charanko and battling a mysterious fighter Suiryo.

Speaking of Suiryo, it is suspected that he may be the first-ranked superhero of the Hero's Association, Blast, as he is interested in fighting really powerful opponents.

Meanwhile, it remains unknown as to when exactly "One Punch Man" season 2 will arrive as no official word has been released since its announcement in September last year.
