Things are looking up for the Chinese mobile company One Plus. After shattering whatever modest internal projections the company might have set with their inaugural device the OnePlus One, the company now looks to the future with the next iteration of the device in the OnePlus Two.

The OnePlus One earned raves from reviewers and consumers alike for its excellent balance of affordable price and high end tech specifications, in addition to a clever invite only marketing campaign that intensified demand for the device. OnePlus has not indicated in any way whether it will pursue those same strategies, but it is certainly mindful of what made them successful in the first place. Whatever the case, industry experts are expecting the OnePlus Two to retain at the very least a reasonable facsimile of the price-specifications formula that led to its previous success.

The invite only marketing campaign is another matter entirely. Now that One Plus has a sizable demand for its devices, it would only make sense not to utilize the same strategy particularly since the OnePlus line of devices are midrange devices rather than top of the line luxury phones with much higher profit margins. Still, a major reason for the OnePlus One's success was the sense that it was a "must-have" device for tech savvy consumers so it's still possible that the same marketing strategies might be utilized.

In any case, the release of the OnePlus two has yet to be finalized, though it is expected in either the second or third quarter of this year. For now, consumers will have to be content with the existing OnePlus One devices, which, incidentally, will finally receive the Lollipop update by the end of this month. The company initially ran into unforeseen issues that prevented the update to be implemented but those issues have finally been addressed paving the way for the long overdue update.
