Dayanara "Daya" Diaz (Dascha Polanco) may see herself in solitary confinement after her daring attempt to subjugate Corrections Officer Thomas Humphrey (Michael Torpey) in the upcoming season of "Orange is the New Black."

Last installment, the inmate had the audacity to point a gun at the CO. Although she stopped from pulling the trigger, Daya's action may land her in trouble. As per Parent Herald, she may have to extend her stay in prison because of her behavior. Daya is not known for her violence. What she did to Humphrey was completely out of character. She could have easily finished her sentence and got out of there immediately, but it now looks like it will not be happening soon.

Daya may see her salvation in John Bennett's (Matt McGorry) return. The former CO will allegedly return in season 5. As the father of Daya's child, he may want to extend a hand to the inmate.

Meanwhile, Erica "Yoga" Jones (Constance Shulman) will earn the spotlight in the new installment. Her backstory will reportedly be revealed, especially the year she killed a child. Yoga was imprisoned for murder, but she has yet to reveal the reason why she committed the crime.

Yoga's family reportedly owns a piece of land where they cultivate marijuana. She has had a problematic childhood. Alcoholism runs in the family and she is no exception. Rumors claim that she was high on drugs when she shot a child. The boy was allegedly running around their land when she mistook him for a deer. When his wounds proved to be fatal and the boy died, Yoga was imprisoned for her crime.

Meanwhile, speculations claim that the Litchfield Penitentiary will see another death so soon after Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley). As per Movie News Guide, the mutiny that started last installment will get out of hand, with the inmates protesting what happened to their friend. A brief moment revealed someone besting a gun from a guard. Who will be the next casualty?

"Orange is the New Black" season 5 is expected to return in June 2017 on Netflix.
