'Orange is the New Black' season 5 spoilers: Daya's ultimate fall and retribution for Poussey

(Facebook/OITNB)Will Daya be placed in the SHU and will Poussey get the revenge she deserves?

The finale of "Orange is the New Black" season four left fans wondering how things will go for two core characters. First is Daya, who will most likely be in a lot of trouble in season five, and second is Poussey, whose death has been covered up.

First up is Dascha Polanco's Daya, who surprisingly took control of the chaotic situation in last season's finale. While most thought she would hand over the gun she took from Corrections Officer Humphrey (Michael Torpey) to Maria (Jessica Pimentel), she instead ordered the COs around and pointed the gun at Humphrey.

CO Humphrey deserved it, for all of his terrible and wicked ways, but what will this mean for Daya? Rumor has it that she will be thrown into the SHU or the Special Housing Unit which is known to be one of the most devastating wards in Litchfield. The worst thing that Daya could encounter is getting her sentence extended in "Orange is the New Black" season five.

Finally, there's Samira Wiley's poor Poussey, who got caught up in an earlier riot. Unfortunately for the beloved character, she was killed, or as the inmates see it, murdered. While the gals expected that the prison would take full responsibility of the incident, it was instead covered up. How will this situation work for the dead Poussey and her vengeful gang?

One thing that fans may have forgotten is that Poussey has yet to receive proper memorial rites. The question is: Will she get it? Poussey definitely deserves appropriate memorial services held in her honor, but with a new administration threatening the protection and safety of the inmates, it will surely be hard to get Poussey the tribute she deserves.

As Daya's seemingly tragic situation and the search for retribution for Poussey continues, fans can expect a lot of emotional rides and most likely more riots when "Orange is the New Black" season five arrives.

With Daya potentially in the lineup for the SHU and Poussey's memorial rites in limbo, there are now a lot of reasons for the inmates to strike back. However, will their efforts be in vain?

"Orange is the New Black" season five is expected to premiere sometime 2017.
