Blizzard introduced the 11-year-old robotics and AI expert Efi Oladele on the official "Overwatch" website, but it does not mean that she will be the game's next playable character.

The game developer featured a highlight of Efi's career in the game's Atlas News. According to the post, the young scientist from Numbani was recently awarded the prestigious "genius grant" from the Adawe Foundation due to her successful accomplishments.

While the report describes the impressive accomplishments of Efi at such a young age, it does not provide any hints that would prove that she will be included in the playable character lineup of the team-based multiplayer shooter game that was released in May 2016.

Fans of the game opted to look for clues regarding Efi's participation in "Overwatch" through the game's concept art, as well as in the backstory of Sombra. But none of them can verify Efi's role as the next playable hero in the game. However, they noticed that both promo materials for the game feature a four-legged robot, which could be one of the creations of Efi. This could mean that it will be the next new playable character for "Overwatch" in the coming days.

A fan also posted on 4chan that based on the leaked "Overwatch" details during the game's Lunar New Year event, there are hints that the next playable character of the game will be a female character with four legs known as Anchora.

However, game director Jeff Kaplan also confirmed during the recent DICE Summit event that Efi's spider-tank may still not be the game's next playable character, but it could be one of Efi's creations. Kaplan also revealed that "the hero in the center is not the hero that you think it is."

This simply means that players still need to wait for an official announcement from the game's developer regarding the identity of the next "Overwatch" playable character.
