With only few more weeks of "Penny Dreadful" left for fans to watch, the action in season two is sure to heat up. If the synopsis of the eighth episode is anything to go by, audiences are in for a sensational, horror-filled episode on Sunday.
Spoiler TV provided a brief description of the upcoming episode. The Creature will unleash his rage on Viktor Frankenstein over Lily. No surprises there, as it was highly expected that the Creature would soon find out about him and Lily. This is exactly what happens when a love triangle ensues between the three essential characters of any show. Will Frankenstein be saved or will he die at the hands of the Creature?
Meanwhile, Inspector Bartholomew Rusk discovers Sir Malcolm's connection to Ethan Chandler. This is sure to be the highlight of episode eight. In the trailer of the forthcoming episode, Rusk is seen holding a sketch of the beast.
Malcolm has some questions for Evelyn and confronts her. Things don't go as planned. Malcolm ends up trapped in one of Evelyn's devious little tricks. Will he come out alive from the cunning witch's deadly trick?
Interestingly, the title of episode eight is "Memento Mori", which in Latin means "remember that you must die". This bone-chilling episode should not be missed as the Creature unleashes its wrath on Frankenstein.
Moreover, "Penny Dreadful" fans will be overjoyed to learn that the show has been renewed for a third season. TVGuide reports that the gothic drama has been officially renewed by Showtime.
The nine-episode season three will be shot in Dublin, Ireland, where season one and two had also been shot, and is scheduled to premiere in 2016. Showtime's president David Nevins said in a statement, "John Logan's brilliant writing and this amazingly talented ensemble continue to draw a passionate, global fan base into the meticulously crafted world of Penny Dreadful. Together with our wonderful partners at Sky Atlantic, we're excited to see what new haunts John and his team have in store for season three."
