'Pitch Perfect 3' release date, cast, rumors: Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus to join the cast?

(YouTube/ JustinBieberVEVO)Rumors arise on Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus' inclusion in the cast of "Pitch Perfect 3."

The production of "Pitch Perfect 3" is in a lot of disarray as of the moment, as if everyone is falling apart. Perhaps an addition would help, but, from the looks of it, it may have made things worse.

Just recently, IMDb indicated on its website that pop icons Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus will be joining in the fun. Although it sounds good news at first, it could be problematic in the long run, or even during the filming itself. This got mixed reactions from fans of the acapella film.

Some would assume that the rumored casting could probably be a way to salvage the film, considering the feud that has been going on between "Pitch Perfect" stars Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick. If Kendrick leaves, the movie needs to have more star power in order to survive. The said clash between the two is still unconfirmed as of this time, but, if it were true, including Bieber and Cyrus indeed looks like a last resort.

As was reported, the rumored fight happened due to scheduling concerns. Kendrick wanted to push back the production in order to promote another movie she was in. This didn't sit right for Wilson as she has prior commitments, so she voted to keep the scheduled dates.

Aside from the alleged quarrel between them, perhaps the fact that Elizabeth Banks won't be sitting on the director's chair anymore left a hole, causing more confusion. It has previously been reported that Banks has decided to leave due to parental duties, plus the pressure of other projects on top of it. "Step Up All In" director Trish Sie has stepped up to take the helm for the third film.

Still, what fans have as of the moment are rumors, and no statement has been made regarding the casting fiascos for "Pitch Perfect 3." Loyal followers of the all-female acapella group can only hope for the best.

"Pitch Perfect 3" is expected to sing their way into the cinemas on Dec. 22. 2017.
