Electronic Arts and PopCap Games will be releasing the first downloadable content for "Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2" today. The free "Graveyard Variety Pack" DLC includes a new map, new missions and gameplay fixes.

The Graveyard Variety Pack DLC will introduce a new co-op/team vanquish map – Aqua Center. Aqua Center was first introduced in "Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare" but has been upgraded for the sequel. There will also be a nighttime version of The Great White North map added to the Turf Takeover Playlist.

The DLC update will also add new Backyard Battleground missions for more exciting challenges. Some of the new challenges include Hide n' Find missions and Bot & Pot missions. The World Options has also been improved upon. It will now provide a list of all friends playing the game and is no longer limited to the joinable ones.

So that players can continue to enjoy playing "Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2," the upcoming DLC update will also include a ton of gameplay improvements, bug fixes and tuning.

Some of the critical fixes include reduced length of round timer when in multiplayer matches, Imp can now earn XP when in Mech, Backyard customizations can now be seen and players can now see stats when visiting other players' Backyard.

EA has also introduced some character tuning and balancing.

Rose has been re-tuned and will now have a support role. Changes to her abilities have also been made. Citron's laser damage has also been reduced. Meanwhile, Corn's health and long-range damage have been improved so that he will be a better front-line fighter.

Additional changes include fixing the bug associated with Chomper's health regeneration, reduced Zen Cactus' and Party Imp's damage and adjusted Super Brainz's and Captain Deadbeard's abilities.
