'Rick and Morty' season 3 spoilers: Mr. Meeseeks will return for an episode of the Cartoon Network Adult Swim series

Fans of "Rick and Morty" can now rejoice as they will not really need to wait until 2017 before getting entertained by the adult animated comedy on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim program as it has been confirmed that it will return later this year.
In the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con, series creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland revealed that making "Rick and Morty" season 3 is more difficult than its predecessors. While it's true that they have already started working on the upcoming season, the outcome did not just meet their standards, hence, they have to make tweaks on it to guarantee viewer satisfaction.
"It's been harder this season... I watched the thumbnail animatic of Episode 304 and I was ready to move forward with it and Ryan (Ridley) said 'we're not satisfied with it and we were already behind schedule... there's a weird higher calling there and it's not an endless perfectionism because you know when something finally clicks and you go 'this is a good episode of TV.' But it's not just me and I was very happy to find that out," revealed Harmon at the San Diego Comic-Con.
As the team behind "Rick and Morty" season 3 applies the process of retroscripting to make the dialogues of the characters more in sync and suited for the scenes, fans can, at least, console themselves that the upcoming season of the series will be worth the wait, despite its delay. Additionally, the upcoming season may usher back certain characters, such as Meeseeks, the little blue creature featured in the adult animated series' season 1.
According to reports, it is possible for "Rick and Morty" season 3 to feature back the characters for a possible episode that will feature their spoof of "Star Trek: The Next Generation." There is also the possibility for the show to feature the said character being used as a tool like Dr. Seuss.
Many viewers were left in limbo as to when "Rick and Morty" would exactly return for its season 3 after Mr. Poopy Butthole, a character in the animated series, said in the season finale episode of "Rick and Morty" season 2 aired in October 2015 that it would return in a year or a year and a half.
However, it seems that fans of the series will not really wait for 2017 before the series returns as "Rick and Morty" season 3 is slated to air late 2016.
