'Rizzoli & Isles' season 6 episode 18 spoilers: New information on Jane's nemesis surfaces

(Facebook/rizzoliandisles)Jane gets closer to unmasking her antagonist in the upcoming episode of "Rizzoli & Isles."

Jane (Angie Harmon) will finally be able to unmask the identity of the person behind Maura's (Sasha Alexander) kidnapping and all the other attacks on her in the upcoming episode of "Rizzoli & Isles."

In "A Shot in the Dark," TV Guide reports that new information will crop up regarding the shadowy individual obsessed in making Jane's life hell. The culprit was the one who masterminded Maura's abduction and the fire in Jane's apartment. His existence has baffled the female detective, who still has no clue on why someone wanted her dead. In Jane's profession, it is not unusual to encounter a frustrated criminal who has been sent behind bars. To know that someone is out there just bidding his time to kill her has been weighing on Jane's mind. The fact that the culprit has demonstrated that he is not averse to hurting the people close to her make her more than a little fearful.

Last episode, viewers witnessed how Jane was slowly spiraling down with her paranoia. This time, it was her partner and longtime friend Vince (Bruce McGill) who was the recipient of her over protectiveness. They were working on a case where the killer was an expert in explosives. When the police arrived in the crime scene, it was revealed that the entire place was rigged. It was a landmine and Vince had the misfortune to step on one.

Throughout the whole ordeal of saving Vince, Jane was frantic, never leaving his side even if it meant that the explosion would kill them both. While her concern for her colleague was admirable, a keen eye could see that she was close to a nervous breakdown.

With new details surfacing regarding her nemesis, Jane must rein in her nerves and focus on tracking him down. The getaway car used in the case of the murdered state trooper in Maine is said to have connections to her mysterious antagonist. It is time to settle the scores and determine which one of them will prove to be tougher than the other.

"Rizzoli & Isles" season 6 episode 18 will air on Tuesday, March 15, at 9 p.m. EST on TNT.
