'Salem' season 3 episode 10 spoilers, news: Hell breaks loose in Salem; who will save the town from the devil?

WGN America's supernatural fiction drama TV series "Salem" is about to come to an end, with its last episode bound for release tomorrow, Jan. 25. In the episode, the little town of Salem is nearing its doom, and, despite the efforts of the locals, things look pretty bleak.

(Facebook/SalemWGNA)"Salem" season 3 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on WGN America.

In the final episode of "Salem," which is season 3 episode 10, titled "Black Sunday," the survival of the locals becomes even more unclear, given that they only have at least a day to prevent their demise since hell already broke loose in the penultimate episode of the series.

As revealed in the trailer for the episode, Anne Hale (Tamzin Merchant) will be speaking to the public, informing them of how witches have ruled Salem all this time. She will also be telling the residents that Black Sunday is arriving soon.

To recap the previous episode, Cotton Mather (Seth Gabel) finally found out that his wife, Anne, is actually a powerful witch, who is only responsible for stealing his and Gloriana's (Azure Parsons) baby. This conniving witch has manipulated people ever since she turned away from the innocent girl that she was in the pilot season. Anne has come a long way, and she has worked for the devil. And because of her, as seen in the same episode, hell broke loose, bringing forth the devil (Oliver Bell).

Also teased in the clip for episode 10, Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery) can be seen attacking her lover, John Alden (Shane West), when he pays her a visit. Although Countess Von Marburg (Lucy Lawless) is not expected to return in the final episode, reports say that Marburg will be taking over Mary's body.

Will Mary and John be able to overcome this problem before the devil takes over Salem and unleashes his wrath?

Like the preceding episodes, the finale will be showing terrifying and somewhat disturbing scenes about the devil's return.

"Salem" season 3 episode 10, titled "Black Sunday," premieres tomorrow, Jan. 25, at 9 p.m. EST on WGN America.
