Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date, specs rumors 2016: Next phablet could sport 5.8-inch curved screen

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to come out this year and the latest word on that has to do with the screen display.

For this year, it looks like Samsung will be offering a bigger 5.8-inch quad HD screen display (2560x1440 resolution) to the ones planning to get the next Samsung phablet. The only thing that's unclear right now is whether the display will have a traditional flat screen or a curved one which Samsung has been using on the Galaxy S Edge series.

The real word on that remains to be seen as the Galaxy Note loyalists continue to wait on what the Galaxy Note 6 will come out with. Aside from the alleged screen size, it will also reportedly come with a 4,000 mAh battery as well as something banking on 6 GB of RAM.

With regards to the chipset, the rumor concerned with that is tied up to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 SoC. If not a Qualcomm SoC, chances are it may be an Exynos 8890 chip instead. Nothing has been confirmed for now, though Samsung is expected to make use of a powerful processor with the expected load of features the phablet will bring.

Further specs that are tied up with the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 include a 12 MP main camera, the same camera that the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge had.

Up front is a 5 MP camera while internal storage is expected to be 32 GB with provisions for extra storage via microSD. Other specs worth noting include a fingerprint and iris scanner for added security, like most phones which are now out in the market.

The Galaxy Note 6 is expected to come out with the next Android mobile operating system - the Android N OS.

So far, these are the updates tied up with the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. More is expected in the coming months as its expected debut approaches.
