Olivia Pope and President Fitz might have a happy ending after all, based on the spoiler reports of the last remaining episodes of Scandal season 4.

Fans of the hit drama series, Scandal, have always been rooting for the love story of Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn). Since Fitz is still married to First Lady Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young), Olivia and Fitz's love story has always been met with struggles, but spoiler reports are suggesting that the President will leave his wife to be with Olivia, his one true love, once and for all.

The return of Scandal season 4 will not open with the possibilities of a happily ever after for Olivia and Fitz just yet. The President still has to deal with things before pursuing his love, and his tasks include finally having a resolution with the person who killed his son, escaping an assassination plot, and dealing with the bad publicity of a rigged election.

Another factor to consider before fans can bask in Olivia and Fitz's love affair is Jake's (Scott Foley) presence in Olivia's life. Olivia's other love is known to be headstrong in fighting for her, and if he will give way to Fitz so that Olivia can be truly happy, then the possibility of Fitz and Olivia's love to emerge is most likely.

In an interview on social media bookmarking site, Reddit, Scott Foley dished on his character and answered a few questions regarding Jake's relationship with Olivia. When asked if his character will hold on to Olivia, Foley answered that there is more to be "explored" in the relationship.

"I think there is still more to be explored in regards to Jake & Liv. But I'm open to whatever they'd like," answered the actor in the interview, as reported by Christian Today.

Scandal season 4 will return on January 29.
