'Scandal' season 5 episode 13 spoilers: Lillian is not letting go of Fitz so easily

President Fitz's (Tony Goldwyn) affair with Lillian (Annabeth Gish) will not be ending soon, if the journalist has any say in the matter, in the hit ABC series "Scandal."
The past episode showed how deep the POTUS was in with his escapades with the brunette. They were seen making out in just about anywhere, from the presidential limousine to the White House. Even Abby (Darby Stanchfield) could not stop herself from telling Fitz how bad he has been behaving, as the press have not gotten wind of the fact that the President has been spending a lot of time with Lillian.
Ever since Fitz met the reporter, they have not been able to keep their hands off each other. Although it may look like Fitz sees it is a short fling that will fizzle out soon, for Lillian, it will not be as easy as that. The beautiful and savvy brunette knows what she has right now is a win–win situation. Dating the President can propel career at greater heights and even if they do break up in the end, she will forever be known as the woman who slept with the most powerful man in America.
Gish told TV Line that there is something more to her character than meets the eye. Lillian is smart, just "like all the Shonda Rhimes' females are." She hinted that Lillian would not be going anywhere soon, but beside Fitz.
"There's obviously chemistry between them, and I think it's genuine. She has to make a decision about whether or not she wants to do her piece... or date the president," the actress shared.
Meanwhile, Fitz' people are obviously worried about him. They will even ask Olivia's (Kerry Washington) help to knock some sense into him. In the promo of the upcoming episode titled "The Fish Rots From the Head," viewers see the much-awaited face-off between former lovers. In the clip, Olivia is seen angrily asking Fitz if he really wants to be a "reckless, negligent and selfish" president. Fitz, meanwhile, looks ready to explode after listening to her tirade.
"Scandal" season 5 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
