"Scorpion" season 3 has a premiere date and it's going to be on Oct. 3 on CBS. There are two pairs that fans are rooting for most on the show and they cannot wait to find out what happens to Toby Curtis (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Happy Quinn (Jadyn Wong) and Walter O'Brien (Elyes Gabel) and Paige Dineen (Katharine McPhee).

For the Quintis pair, Toby was in a roller coaster ride in the season finale when he was kidnapped before his proposal to Happy. He survived the ordeal, but heartbreak tore him to pieces when, upon proposing, he found out that Happy is married.

Thomas spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the finale and he said, "I'm excited for the season 3 premiere to see how the fallout of the season finale is played out amongst the team because what happened with Toby and Happy has big ramifications."

Thomas also talked about the other pair, "Waige," and said "So many questions and wants and needs for Walter and Paige and Happy and Toby are being opened up, and it's really exciting. I'm so grateful that we have clever writers who are listening to the fans and staying true to their original vision of the show."

TV Line also got to ask executive producers Nick Wootton and Nick Santora about the finale and where it is headed to in season 3. Santora revealed that Toby's proposal has been in the plan since the season started; however, the complication with Happy was just decided upon in January.

With the team's feelings in the way, Wootton said the events that unfolded in the finale will reverberate through the entire team. He said "It's our kicking-off point for the next season, for the emotional stories." He also shared that the husband of Happy and her marriage will play a big part in the upcoming season.

Santora also shared that there will be a lot of teasing when it comes to Waige. He said, "We can't promise that in the first episode of next season, they're going to be holding hands and running through a valley of golden flowers together. But at the same time, the Waige relationship will always be there."
