On the upcoming episode 12, titled "Malec," of the first season of the fantasy series "Shadowhunters," Alec and Lydia's wedding preparations are in full swing.

The official synopsis from the official Shadowhunters page reveals that everyone from the Institute is busy with all of Alec and Lydia's wedding preparations. Lydia takes care of the wedding dress and wedding decorations, both in the final stages. Isabelle, on the other hand, plans on throwing a traditional, mundane bachelor party for Alex, her brother, even if it's against his will.

The synopsis further reveals that before the wedding, the couple examines their relationships. Alec is having a hard time dealing with his wedding and his wish to have his parabatai on his side. However, Alec and Jace are still not on good terms. Alec is also confused as to how he should handle his feelings for Magnus because the latter still won't let Alec go. Clary, on the other hand, wants to make up with Jace so bad. However, Jace keeps on avoiding her.

The promo trailer for "Malec" shows Jace telling Clary that he does not know who he is anymore. Magnus talks to Alec about love and how they truly feel. Plus, a confused Alec can be seen at his wedding with Lydia.

One more episode before the finale airs. At the recently concluded WonderCon festival at LA, the cast of "Shadowhunters" were all present at the panel to share something about the finale.

Matthew Daddario, who plays Alec, shared about his characters' mental state. According to Variety, he said, "Alec at this point is not just lying to himself, he's actively building up walls to prevent him from feeling what's actually going on inside of him. All the distractions and various issues brought on by all of these people... he has a lot to think about." But Daddario assured the fans of the show that in the end, Alec will make the right decision.

"Shadowhunters" airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Freeform.
