Sharp has unveiled three new smartphones, the Aquos Zeta, Aquos Compact and the Aquos Disney. The smartphones look impressive and slim as they feature the company's EDGEST design that minimizes the top, bottom and side bezels. Unfortunately, the smartphones are only intended for the Japanese market.

Sharp's new smartphone offerings are all powered by a hexa-core1.8 GHz Snapdragon 808 processor and an Adreno 418 GPU. They are also have 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 capabilities, reports GSM Arena.

The flagship device, the Aquos Zeta features a 5.3-inch Full HD IGZO display with a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution and 416 ppi pixel density. The display is protected by a Gorilla Glass 4 panel. The smartphone has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory.

The Sharp Aquos Zeta also features a 13.1 MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and phase detection autofocus, and an 8 MP front-facing camera. With an IP certification 55/58, the device is protected from water and dust.

According to Phone Arena, the smartphone features a fingerprint scanner at the back. The device is backed up by a 3,100 mAh battery and is preloaded with the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The flagship device is scheduled for a November release and will be available in blue, black and pink.

The second smartphone announced by Sharp is the Aquos Compact. As the name implies, it is a compact version of the flagship model. It features a 4.7-inch Full HD display with a 1080 x 1920 screen resolution and 469 ppi pixel density. There is 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory.

The Aquos Compact features the same 13.1 MP rear camera but is accompanied by a 5 MP front-facing camera. It also comes with an IP certification of 65/68 for water and dust protection.

The handset is backed by a 2,810 mAh battery and also comes with the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box. The Aquos Compact will be launched in December in either gray-yellow or blue-black.

Finally, Sharp also unveiled the Disney model that has the same features of the Aquos Compact but comes with the Disney branding and free Disney content. The smartphone will be launched in January in the colors Sparkle Blue or Sparkle Pink.
