'Sleepy Hollow' season 4 episode 8 synopsis: Ichabod Crane to prevent a supernatural plague from spreading through a viral video
In the upcoming episode of Fox's supernatural drama series "Sleepy Hollow," Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) will prevent a supernatural outbreak, an infection that can apparently be spread through a viral video.

As revealed in the synopsis for "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 episode 8, titled "Sick Burn," internet sensation Logan Macdonald (Robbie Kay) arrives in Washington, D.C. just as soon as the supernatural infection hits.
The trailer for this week's episode reveals how the infection is spreading. By watching the viral video, viewers can get infected by the fire flu. Ichabod, who was born before the inception of smartphones and even telephones, thinks that by yelling at people and informing them to switch their mobile devices off would actually get them to follow his orders. The clip teases that Alex (Rachel Melvin) has contracted the supernatural virus after having watched the video.
Once again, it is up to Ichabod and his team to prevent the spread of the infection. But does Molly's (Oona Yaffe) horrible vision of the future signify the team's failure to do so? Or could her vision have something to do with tech billionaire Malcolm Dreyfuss (Jeremy Davies)?
To recap last week's episode, Molly unknowingly summoned an ancient monster that preyed on people's hearts. The demon even took the form of her father. But like the usual, Ichabod was able to dispel the evil force before it could hurt more people. Elsewhere in the episode, Ichabod, Diana (Janina Gavankar), and Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) found out that Malcom is still alive and is hiding somewhere, plotting something new to destroy the world.
Ichabod has dealt with a supernatural plague before, in season 1 to be exact. A young boy from Roanoke somehow managed to traverse to the present-day Sleepy Hollow, along with his horrid infection.
"Sleepy Hollow" season 4 episode 8, titled "Sick Burn," airs this Friday, Feb. 24, at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
