The ardent desire of the fans of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye-Kyo for the pair to extend their onscreen romance on "Descendants of the Sun" to real life has been partially doused by the rumors claiming that the actor is dating someone else.

However, it turns out that the supposed deterrent to the real-life partnership of the two was nothing more than a fan who was lucky to get up close and personal with Song Joong Ki during his meet-and-greet event in Hong Kong.

In an uploaded Instagram video, the hottest South Korean male actor today can be seen tying the hair of the woman, a reenactment of a scene in the already concluded highly popular South Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun," wherein Song Joong Ki ties the hair of Song Hye-Kyo.

According to Soompi, the actor's series of meet-and-greet events has provided a great deal of delight to his fans, which includes giving his bracelet to a young fan and singing a duet with his friend Lee Kwang Soo.

Song Joong Ki's meet-and-greet event in Hong Kong last June 11 was his seventh in his tour of Asia. The event was attended by an estimated crowd of 8,000, which was mostly females. There, he revealed why the said Asian city holds a special place in his heart.

"It's the first place I went for vacation after I became an adult; I actually went to Lan Kwai Fong yesterday. I'm so happy to be holding my first fan meeting in Hong Kong today, and I was really surprised to see so many people here. Thank you so much," Song Joong Ki revealed. 

Meanwhile, fans hoping for a sequel to the monster hit drama "Descendants of the Sun," which will feature the reunion of the Song Joong Ki and Song Hye-Kyu, may have to wait a little longer before being handed with its sequel. According to reports, Song Joong Ki is slated to film another drama, "Battleship Island," which is expected to feature the unexplored aspects of Korea's Hashima Island.
