'Steven Universe' season 4 spoilers, update: 'Three Gems and a Baby' plot revealed; hiatus on the horizon?

(Twitter/Steven Universe)"Steven Universe" season 4 will resume on Dec. 1 but only one episode title has been revealed so far.

In the coming weeks, fans of the hit Cartoon Network animated series "Steven Universe" season 4 will be treated with yet another episode titled, "Three Gems and a Baby." Meanwhile, reports are saying that the upcoming episode could be the last of the installment as information on the proceeding segments have yet to be rolled out.

According to spoiler report, this December, "Steven Universe" season 4 will feature "Three Gems and a Baby" wherein Greg tells Steve a story about their first winter together. On the other hand, Connie is expected to arrive home before the first snow flake hits the ground.

Taking hints from this detail, it would be safe to say that the segment will offer a backstory on the earlier days of the titular character. It could also give a glimpse of Greg when he was younger and a first time father to Steven.

"I think Greg is some version of a parent who realizes that their kid is different than they were," voice actor Tom Scharpling reportedly told fans during the New York Comic Con event.

Fans should also expect a new theme song to be released just for this episode. As mentioned in this report, the song will be performed by Scharpling, who voices Greg on the show, and Rebecca Sugar, the series creator.

The song is called "I Could Never Be Like This" which tells the life of Greg who reared Steven when he was a child without his mother, Rose Quartz.

After this airing event, it is expected that the show might once again go off air. In fact, a report said that this could be the "last episode" of the series itself as rumors of cancellation have been hounding the show as of late.

Conflicting reports, however, say that the show could only be taking their well-deserved holiday break.

"Steven Universe" season 4's "Three Gems and a Baby" airs on Dec. 1, 2016, on Cartoon Network.
