'Supernatural' season 10 spoilers: Bobby Singer returns and Dean faces off against Rowena in episode 17

"Supernatural" has kept fans on their toes this season thanks to the dreaded Mark of Cain curse that plagues Dean. With the threat of Dean killing Sam, can there be a cure on the horizon?

In episode 17 "Inside Man", Jim Beaver returns as the Winchester brothers' old friend, mentor and surrogate father, Bobby Singer, reports TVLine. The father figure is summoned as Sam and Dean need help from someone in heaven, so naturally the duo turn to Singer. "Supernatural" fans know quite well that the death of a character doesn't always mean they are gone forever.

Bobby died in season seven and his soul was released to heaven in episode eight. Beaver also made several appearances, the first of which was in season one as an old family friend of the Winchester family. Bobby also appeared briefly in season nine as a manifestation of Sam's psyche while he was comatose. The character has always been a parental figure to the Winchester brothers, so if they need help from someone in heaven, Singer is an obvious choice.

Hypable also reports that Dean will face off against Rowena, Crowley's witch mother. This can only spell trouble for Dean since she is equally powerful and manipulative woman. International Business Times reports that Beaver may be some sort of gang leader in heaven, thus being in an ideal position to help Sam and Dean. Some spoilers hint that Castiel, Dean and Sam need Beaver's help in order to find a cure for the Mark of Cain curse. Will Beaver help the Winchester brothers one last time? Will Rowena wreak havoc for Dean?

Bobby Singer's appearance and a Rowena-Dean showdown definitely makes episode 17 a fascinating one. Get a regular dose of the Winchester brothers on Wednesday, April 1 at 9 p.m. ET on CW.
