Switched at Birth season 4: A taste of the switch as if it never happened

The Christmas episode of Switched At Birth presented an alternate reality that's quite confusing and yet funny.
Switched at Birth's plot centers on two children, Nancy and Bay, who were accidentally switched at birth. The Christmas special provided a glimpse of what it would be like if the event that ultimately changed their lives did not happen. Of course, it would be awfully awkward to meet a brand new member of the family especially during the holidays, but the episode did see and unearth a lot of quirks from both families.
Bay and Daphne naturally did not want to give up their families especially on yuletide season, but their parents have been quite hardheaded to accept and understand each other to give way to the different way of celebrating Christmas. Because of this, the switch seemed like it never happened (like a television version of It's a Wonderful Life).
First, if Bay had not been switched and remained with Regina, her name would be Daphne and she'd grow up battling meningitis but with a skilled artistic talent. Regina and her husband Angelo would be together until Angelo died, with Bay having a younger brother named Angelo Jr. Regina's drinking also got worse after the death of Angelo, and the holidays were celebrated with a sad tree and a bottle of alcohol.
Daphne's lush life with the rich family made her grow to be a promising athlete coached by dad, John, who chose to be a stay-at-home dad after getting injured through baseball.
