'Teen Wolf' season 6 episode 2 spoilers, news: themes include memories and loss; will Lydia finally remember Stiles?

(Facebook/TeenWolf)Final season to be about how one person can change our lives.

"Teen Wolf's" sixth and final season opened with a bang, as one of the pillars of the show was literally erased from memory. So how can Scott and his pack find someone they don't remember?

The premiere episode of "Teen Wolf" season 6 started on a poignant note, with Scott (Tyler Posey) and his best friend Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) doing their best to alleviate their boredom while keeping their town safe. It wasn't long before the excitement they were looking for arrived in the form of the Wild Hunt and the Ghost Riders.

Fans might have been primed for Stiles being taken by the Ghost Riders, but it was still a shock when it happened. It didn't help that it happened just as he made a heartfelt plea to Lydia (Holland Roden) not to forget how much he loves her. But try as she might to hold on to his memories, they were all gone by the end of the day.

The season's main story arc might have stemmed from O'Brien juggling his "Teen Wolf" duties with "The Maze Runner's" production schedule. But it was also about paying homage to our memories of the people we love.

As showrunner Jeff Davis explaned to TV Line, "Teen Wolf's" final season wants to touch on "how your life can be affected and changed by one person, and what that loss means." Anyone who has lost someone they love knows that memories are powerful enough to define a person.

Unfortunately for Scott, Lydia, and Malia (Shelley Hennig), even though they can feel that something has changed, they don't know what it is. While the trio continue to search for lost memories of a missing friend in episode 2, Corey (Michael Johnston) will discover a connection between his abilities and the Wild Hunt.

A trailer for the upcoming episode, "Superposition," teases that the pack are slowly starting to understand the Wild Hunt. The clip starts with Scott being told the Ghost Riders "were here." Dr. Deaton (Seth Gilliam) explains to Scott that while the legend states the Riders take people, the truth might be much worse. He then theorizes that "they erase people from reality."

Lydia is seen looking at the empty chair beside her and later stops at highlighting a sentence in her book and stares at the word "style." Can this prompt her to remember Stiles?

Episode 2 of "Teen Wolf" season 6 will be aired on Nov. 22 at 9 p.m.
