'Teen Wolf' season 6 spoilers, premiere date: Stiles to be forgotten by Scott, Lydia?

(Facebook/TeenWolf)The Ghost Riders target Stiles in "Teen Wolf" season 6.

Scott (Tyler Posey) and all the others at Beacon Hills will no longer recognize Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) in the upcoming season of "Teen Wolf."

A new promo (as per Hollywood Life) has been released by MTV for the series and it looks like the Ghost Riders are much more frightening than what has been previously teased. The new villains are set to inspire terror in the hearts of the townspeople in the new installment. Their abilities have also been revealed. Apparently, the phantom creatures can erase people from existence and their first target in Beacon Hills is none other than Stiles.

In the clip, Stiles is shown being abducted. Scott and the others' memories have been tampered with, causing them to forget their friend. It appears that only Lydia (Holland Roden) can remember who he is. As Lydia tries to hold on to her memories, Stiles urges her to forget about him, just like the others. Will this be the end for Stiles?

Showrunner Jeff Davis told Entertainment Weekly that won't be the case, as Scott and the others will soon start to realize that they are missing someone important in their lives.

"We've had seasons where there's just bodies dropping everywhere, and we wanted to do something frightening but different. What's scarier than death? Being forgotten. Being completely erased. ... Almost immediately people will notice something missing, because Stiles is such an indelible part of Beacon Hills. They each realize that something huge is missing in their life and they come to this eventual conclusion it might be a person," the EP shared.

Meanwhile, "Stydia" shippers can now rejoice, as Davis has confirmed that the two will indeed be a couple in season 6. According to him, Stiles and Lydia's relationship will progress from being friends and crush to "something deeper." Is it going to be a happy ending for the pair?

"Teen Wolf" is expected to return on Tuesday, Nov. 15 on MTV.
