'The 100' season 3 episode 7 spoilers: Can Lexa keep peace within the clans?; Octavia captured by Grounders
Morals were severely tested in the previous episode of "The 100" season 3. But will Lexa's new found morals put her and Clarke in danger?
The previous episode, "Bitter Harvest," certainly didn't go down well with a lot of fans who were shocked at the road Pike (Michael Beach), Bellamy (Bob Morley) and the others are taking. There are others who disagree with Pike's plan to annihilate the Grounders, namely Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos), Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) and Miller. Bellamy's sister even went one step further and warned the Grounders, resulting in her getting hurt.
The fallout of the massacre will continue to play in episode 7, "Thirteen," as the other tribes demand for Lexa (Alycia Debman-Carey) to act. According to a synopsis posted on Carter Matt, Lexa struggles to keep peace among the clans. Clarke (Eliza Taylor) will discover a truth that will change everything. The upcoming episode also hints of a flashback that will reveal one of the darkest chapters of humanity's past.
The trailer for the upcoming episode hints at the trouble that's headed for Clarke and Lexa because of the Arkadian's actions. The short clip starts with Clarke demanding to know what happened. Titus (Neil Sandilands) tells her that "sky crew attacked their village" before panning to several survivors. There's a brief glimpse of Bellamy and a village in flames. Lexa then calls on the tribes' armies "not to attack." Titus seems surprised with the announcement while Clarke looks relieved.
Titus warns Lexa that her feelings for Clarke put both of them in danger. This seems to be the crux of the matter and one that Lexa appears to be sensitive too. As she shouts at Titus that she's "more than capable of separating feelings from duty," viewers are given glimpses of Lexa and Clarke, as well as shots that hints at the people's dissension. The teaser ends with someone apparently taking a shot at Clarke, as she's shown running.
The episode's title might hint at the thirteen Grounder tribes that all await Lexa's decision. Her command to stand down will undoubtedly divide the tribes as their culture had long been to repay blood with blood. But how dangerous will this be for her and the erstwhile Wanheda?
There's also the question as to where the Arkadian's loyalties now lay. While others support Pike, there are still those supporting Kane. Octavia has always stood by her brother, but she seems to be at odds with him for the first time. She's seen walking with Indra (Adina Porter) in the trailer, while several photo stills show Octavia as a prisoner of the Grounders.
A new episode of "The 100" season 3 will air on March 3.
