(Facebook / The 100)"The 100" season 4 is slated to premiere in 2017 to continue the adventure of what's left of the 100.

The post-apocalyptic series "The 100" season 4 has no definite return date yet, but fans are getting excited to see what awaits the characters in the upcoming season. Two new faces are joining the cast and more deaths have been speculated to happen.

TV Line's Michael Ausselio shared to readers that a new pair of Grounders will be introduced in the show. One is Hugo who is described as a physically intimidating natural leader who is around 20 years of age. He is also hinted to be struggling with his experiences under ALIE's (Erica Cerra) rule. The other is Kenza who is slightly younger and a more devout Grounder. Kenza has chosen religion over sword for some time before she is shown.

Meanwhile, the death of Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) was one of the most shocking scenes in season 3. Carey is one of the main casts of another show so viewers have been expecting an end to her character, but was surprised by the manner of her death. Actress Eliza Taylor, who plays Clarke, will be in a dark place moving forward as she has witnessed the brutal death of her lover.

During Oz Comic-Con, Taylor said, "I don't know if she will love again. I don't know if that is a possibility for her, given what she's been through."

Writers of the show have been teasing their followers on Instagram about an impending death in season 4. Another character who lost a loved one is Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) who exacted revenge on the person who killed her lover. However, she also felt betrayal from her brother, Bellamy (Bob Morley), who is indirectly part of the death of Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) and some are speculating that her sorrow could lead her to kill her own blood.

"The 100" season 4 will participate in the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con and more details are expected to be announced during the panel discussion. An exact release date could also be announced for the show's return in 2017.
