While the season 3 finale of "The Affair" featured Helen (Maura Tierney) going back to Vic (Omar Metwally), it is suspected that, deep inside her, Helen still wants to end up with Noah (Dominic West). However, it is said that, even if Helen strains her every nerve to have Noah back in her life, she will have to go through the eye of the needle as Noah's sister, Nina (Jennifer Esposito), will oppose it when "The Affair" returns for its next season.

Many fans of "The Affair" were surprised when Helen chose to reunite with Vic in the season 3 finale of the series. However, reports claim that the reunion of Helen and Vic will not last as, allegedly, Helen still wants to end up with Noah eventually, despite all the troubles and heartaches he had put her through. Because of this, it is said that Helen will convince Noah to return to her and her kids and get rid of his current relationship with Juliette (Irène Jacob).

To recall, Noah even followed Juliette to Paris. However, he eventually returned to the United States without Juliette in tow. Some opine that, in the event that Helen really wants to win Noah back, she has to convince him that a long distance relationship with Juliette will not work.

Nonetheless, even if she succeeds in convincing him, Helen will have to deal with another problem, Nina, Noah's sister who still does not favor Helen for her brother. After all, Noah and Nina have a special kind of sibling bond that may deter Helen's plan in the event that she really wants to have Noah back in her life. 

"Yeah, there's many secrets Nina has with Noah. They have a very full life that we haven't seen. We've seen pieces of it, but they had a tough childhood with the mother being as sick as she was. Watching someone deteriorate before your eyes is not an easy thing," Esposito said in an interview with Parade last January.

Is Helen and Vic's reunion really just temporary? Will Helen really convince Noah to return to her and their kids? If yes, what will Nina do to stop Helen from returning to her brother's life?
