"The Elder Scrolls 6" is soon to happen but fans may have to wait for several years before it does. Bethesda already confirmed that there are plans of developing another sequel to the hit role-playing adventure game franchise but the wait is going to be long.
The developer has announced that two new major titles will be released soon and their focus will be geared toward these projects. With that said, any development plans for "The Elder Scrolls 6" won't happen unless these new titles are finished. Bethesda has also chosen to keep silent when it comes to updates about the game and highlighted that there won't be any information regarding "The Elder Scrolls 6" until it becomes officially launched.
Despite the confirmative statement from Bethesda, there are still reports insisting that the company is already secretly developing the game. Then again, it could just be a way for fans to stay positive that someday soon, the game will be announced.
Meanwhile, GamingBolt reported that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will need to do better when it comes to offering post-release support and DLC, if Bethesda wishes to stay on top of the competition. Although the game is still a long way off, the publication explained that Bethesda should set "Fallout 3's" and "Oblivion's" DLC support as an example on how the next "The Elder Scrolls" game should be. Otherwise, the company might not fare well with the most anticipated sequel in the gaming industry.
Fans will just have to sit tight and hope that Bethesda will at least keep them out of the dark for a bit. In the meantime, those who have been clamoring for a new "The Elder Scrolls" experience can just look forward to the release of "Skyrim's" remastered version. The version, which offers a fresh gaming experience, is set to release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Oct. 28.
