'The Flash' season 2 spoilers: Meta-human Griffin Grey overpowers a helpless Barry in episode 19; Teddy Sears explains Zoom and Caitlin twist

With Barry's power gone and Caitlyn taken by Zoom, the team is at a loss on how to stop a powerful meta-human who has arrived at Central City.
To say that Barry's (Grant Gustin) last encounter with Zoom (Teddy Sears) was a disaster would be an understatement. In "Versus Zoom," Barry became four times faster — thanks to the tachyon accelerator. However, Zoom forced him to sacrifice his speed in exchange for Wally's (Keiynan Lonsdale) life. A triumphant and unstoppably fast Zoom returns to Earth-2, but not before taking Caitlyn (Danielle Panabaker) with him.
Fans will see the fallout of Barry's encounter with Zoom in the next episode, and it won't be pretty. Episode 19, "Back to Normal," sees Barry back to being a normal human being. However, an uber-strong meta-human named Griffin Grey (Haig Sutherland) arrives in Central City and kidnaps Harry (Tom Cavanagh) after mistaking him for Earth-1's Harrison Wells. Grey apparently wants Wells to cure him. As a last ditch effort to track Grey, Barry asks Jesse Quick (Violett Beane), Wells' daughter, for help. Meanwhile, Wally demands answers from Joe (Jesse L. Martin) regarding The Flash.
The trailer for the upcoming episode might be too painful to watch for some fans, as Barry struggles with his situation. The clip starts with a shot of Caitlyn being held hostage as Barry's voice is heard narrating that his friend was the first to be taken, followed by Wells. Viewers are given a glimpse of Griffin stopping a car and dragging Wells out.
Another scene shows a despondent Barry on the bus and later lamenting that sooner or later people will realize that without his speed, "I'm just a regular guy." The Flash is seen going up against the powerful meta-human and being hurled away. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) warns Barry that his suit can only take one of Gray's punches, after which he will be as vulnerable as a piñata. The warning rings true as the last seconds of the clip show The Flash cornered by Gray and a beaten Barry seems to be pleading with him.
While fans are no doubt worried about how things will end for The Flash in episode 19, there's also the question of how Caitlyn is faring and why Zoom took her. Sears explained that big twist to Entertainment Weekly, revealing that the beautiful scientist was more than just a prize to Zoom/Hunter Zolomon.
"She's not a trophy; she really is someone he believes that he loves and wants to have with him," Sears explained.
Unfortunately for him, Caitlin doesn't feel the same way, despite their attraction and the kisses they shared. As a matter of fact, Sears said Caitlin is "repulsed by him" after his true identity was revealed and Hunter doesn't understand why.
How Caitlin's rejection would affect Zoom remains to be seen, but it does hint at some interesting twists coming up for the remainder of the season.
Episode 19 of "The Flash" season 2 will be aired on Apr. 26, 8 p.m., on The CW.
