'The Flash' season 3 cast, rumors: Todd Lasance is the Black Racer

Now that it can be said that "The Vampire Diaries" alum Todd Lasance is part of "The Flash" season 3 as a villain speedster, there is still one question that needs to be answered, though. Who exactly is the speedster that he is portraying?
News about Lasance becoming part of "The Flash" season 3 came out last week after photos of him wearing a black speedster suit circulated online. In a report of Screencrush, where various social media posts were collated, Lasance is seen in his speedster costume along with Keiynan Lonsdale's Wally West, who has already been revealed as Central City's newest speedster as the Kid Flash.

Even though that it can no longer be denied that Lasance is, indeed, sharing his acting chops on "The Flash" season 3, no news can confirm what character he is playing. For Collider, the speedster suit that Lasance is wearing has a striking resemblance with what Zoom (Teddy Sears) wore in the previous season. However, as the villainous character already met his demise in "The Flash" season 2, there is no way for Lasance to be portraying that role.

Now, it is speculated that Lasance's speedster may actually be Daniel West, the third Reverse-Flash in the comic books. The character is relatively new in the DC Universe as he was only introduced via DC's New 52 series, the reboot line of all DC comic book titles.
However, there are also reports claiming that Lasance's speedster may actually be the Black Racer, a character in the comic book "Justice League: Darkseid War." He is a speedster who is endowed with the power to kill with a single touch and is after those who have the Speed Force, including Kid Flash and The Flash.
Is Lasance really Daniel West or the Black Racer?
