'The Following' season 4 updates: Netflix interested in the show; Max and Mike may become parents

All hope is not lost for "The Following" fans. The show was devastatingly cancelled after just three seasons but the former FOX TV series may have found a new home with Netflix.
However, fans should not get their hopes up just yet. There has been no official news about "The Following" getting picked up for a fourth season and everything is very dependent on whether a new network or perhaps an online streaming service is going to actually acquire the Kevin Bacon-led show.
There have been rumors that it has already been picked up by a new network but no confirmation just yet. Word on the grapevine is that online streaming Hulu is also interested in the show.
Amidst all the negative rumors, though, "The Following" showrunners are vocal about looking for a new place to bring the show to. They and the producers are confident that someone will pick up Ryan Hardy's story and are reportedly courting Netflix, writes Venture Capital Post.
Even with the uncertainty of the show's fate, rumors regarding plot twists continue to circulate on the Internet. Show producer Alexi Hawley said that the new season will have Mike (Shawn Ashmore) and Max Weston (Jessica Stroup) venturing into parenthood as Gwen (Zuleikha Robinson) seeks their help with her pregnancy.
Entertainment Focus also lists the answers that need answering in the possible new season: Is Theo still alive? What will happen to Ryan's pursuit of Eliza? What will happen to Ryan and Joe's friendship? Will Claire (Natalie Zea) make a comeback and reunite with Ryan? Is Gina Mendez (Valerie Cruz) going back to the NBI?
When Fox announced in March that "The Following" will not be returning after its third season, fans immediately started an online petition to bring the series back regardless if it stays with its original network or moves with a new one.
Fans will just have sit tight and be patient for now as the show still sits in limbo.
