The third season of "The Fosters" is almost coming to a close and because the series is ramping up for its season finale, it is expected that the events following the eighth episode would be more and more revealing. Thankfully, episode nine's synopsis is out and by the looks of it, the upcoming airing would not fail to bring on the drama.

"The Fosters," which first premiered on ABC Family two years ago in 2013, is a drama series produced by Jennifer Lopez. The series follows the story of multiracial, blended family with Stef Foster and Lena Adams, lesbian life partners, as the family's main matriarchs. It details the couple's efforts of raising their children after taking in two more foster kids, Callie and Jude.

Episode eight, of season three is explosive to say the least. Not only has the relationship between Brandon and Callie started picking up momentum again, but Stef and Lana's marriage are seen to be in jeopardy after Stef asks Lana point blank if she is cheating on her. Because of a tremendous jumping point, viewers are left baffled as to what the penultimate episode holds for the Foster family.

While it did not address the concerns of the previous episode, the synopsis of the ninth episode entitled "Idyllwild"released by TV guide earlier this week provided a glimpse as to what is in store come the show's next airing. According to the summary, more details would be revealed and would culminate when the family attends Brandon's music competition.

"The family visit Brandon to attend his music competition, and secrets surface during the trip. Meanwhile, Callie questions Carmen and Brooke's motives; and Mike observes something that may bolster Stef's theory about the hit-and-run accident."

"The Fosters" season three, episode nine is slated to air on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015 on ABC Family.
