The seventh season of "The Good Wife" aired last week and only two episodes in, with the second premiering merely days ago, there is no denying that the production had no qualms about springing drama right off the bat.

The current season is the first run for the series without Archie Panjabi, who played Alicia Florrick's private Investigator, Kalinda Sharma. At the offset of the previous season, Panjabi confirmed that no longer would she reprise her role in the upcoming run. According to several reports, Margulies and Panjabi have had a rocky relationship over the course of the show and because of that, Panjabi decided to leave altogether. Both camps have since denied these claims; however, if the last few episodes of the current season are any indication, it seems like the cast and crew are still not over Panjabi abruptly leaving.

In last Sunday's episode as reported by Vanity Fair, entitled "Innocents," a Kalinda look alike named Amanda has applied to be Alicia's new private investigator. Amanda, despite looking exactly like Kalinda-- down to all the leather-- unfortunately does not have the same talent her predecessor did. Alicia, without any hesitation, sacked Amanda with a direct but ultimately cold:

'You're fired. Don't need you.'

Elsewhere, speculations about Cary's sexuality have been hot topic all over the internet. In an analysis by TVLine, they offered three theories surrounding Cary's flirty and insinuating brush with a junior associate.

The report claims that Cary might indeed be bisexual, gay, or questioning his sexuality. It further speculates that the character might indeed be straight and the confusing sequence might be pertaining to a whole other storyline. Ultimately, the fans just really might have read into the scene more than what the production has intended for them to, and that there is no real relevance to what will happen in the future.
