'The Incredibles 2' release date rumors: Jack-Jack to grow up into a rebellious teenager

It has been 12 years since "The Incredibles" arrived in theaters and became one of the biggest blockbusters for Diney's Pixar. With the passing of time, it is just but proper for the announced sequel to the said movie to feature a time jump, too. By the time the movie arrives in theaters in 2019, though, it is said that Jack-Jack Parr, who was only a baby in the first "The Incredibles," will have already grown to a teenager, and a troubled one at that.
It can be recalled that toward the end of "The Incredibles," it was revealed that Jack-Jack possesses the strongest power among the superhero family of the Parrs. However, according to reports, the youngest Parr, who will already be a teenager in the upcoming sequel, will be confused with his power and will turn out to be a villain in the movie.
According to other sources, Jack-Jack will grow to be a rebellious teenager who will be confused with his superpowers. As he seeks to understand his powers, he will find his way toward the path of evil, eventually becoming a villain. Thankfully, his elder siblings, Violet and Dash, who will already be full-fledged adults by then, will strain their every nerve to bring the youngest Parr back into the right path.
Last year, Brad Bird, the writer and director of the first "The Incredibles" and its upcoming sequel, hinted in an interview that "The Incredibles 2" will focus more on the characters and their relationship with one another, something that will set the animated movie sequel from other superhero movies that are released in theaters every now and then.
"So we're trying to keep it focused in the area that our film was, which was a little bit more about characters and relationships and stuff like that, and see where that takes us," Bird said in an interview with Collider back in September last year.
Could Bird be referring to Jack-Jack's relationship with his family? Find out when "The Incredibles 2" arrives in theaters on June 21, 2019.
