'The Last of Us 2' rumors: Ellie gets pregnant against her own will?

(Facebook/Naughty Dog, LLC)Rumors about Ellie being pregnant in "The Last of Us 2" have resurfaced.

Since "The Last of Us 2" was announced via a trailer in December last year, there have already been numerous rumors attached to the game. While the still most persistent allegation on the game is that Joel is already dead, rumors about Ellie being pregnant have also resurfaced.

There is no denying that "The Last of Us 2" is one of the most-anticipated games despite the fact that Naughty Dog has yet to announce its official release date. In fact, way before the game sequel was announced, there were already a lot of rumors about it, such as Ellie being pregnant.

When "The Last of Us 2" was announced at the PlayStation Experience Event last December, rumors about Joel possibly being dead in the game sequel almost immediately surfaced online. However, recently, earlier rumors claiming that Ellie is pregnant in "The Last of Us 2" have resurfaced.

To recall, Ellie was first rumored to be pregnant in the upcoming game sequel via another Naughty Dog game, "Uncharted 4," as it features a poster of another game, "The Last of Us," in the game itself. In the said poster, a pregnant woman is seen and many believe that it is actually Ellie.

According to the latest reports, though, Ellie may, indeed, be pregnant in the "The Last of Us 2," and the guitar she is holding in the release trailer may be covering her baby bump. For some, this "The Last of Us 2"  theory is not really a far cry as, after all, Ellie being immune to the virus that causes the plague makes her a hot commodity, some fans believe.

Nonetheless, as it is a known fact that Ellie is gay, some suspect that she may either have been impregnated against her own will. Others, on the other hand, suspect that she may have volunteered to be inseminated to make sure that humanity will continue to exist in the post-apocalyptic setting of the game.

While the theories of the fans are nothing short of exciting and sensible to a certain extent, unfortunately, everything is just a speculation at this point in time and can only be confirmed once "The Last of Us 2" is released, who knows when.
