After two seasons of fighting their parents, brothers and aunt, the Mikaelson siblings will now have to deal with their "children."

Entertainment Weekly has revealed that season three will deal with the arrival of new threats, "The Trinity," which includes the first vampires sired by Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah. The good-looking sires include Aurora and Lucien who will be coming to New Orleans to settle a personal vendetta with the siblings.

Season three will be keeping the siblings busy as they deal with a "sire line war," according to executive producer, Julie Plec. The upcoming season will also go back in time to show the first time someone was turned into a vampire and what life was like for the Mikaelson siblings after they were turned by Esther. "That will be our backstory and flashback story, showrunner, Michael Narducci, revealed.

Klaus is said to have a complicated relationship with his first sire, Lucien (Andrew Lees). "There's definitely a bond there. We owe each other a lot," Joseph Morgan, who plays Klaus, revealed.

When the show returns in October, there will also be a six-month time jump.

Aside from dealing with sires, Klaus will also have to deal with the repercussions of his actions last season. Even after six months, his terrible actions have yet to be forgiven. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is still very furious with Klaus. The six-month time jump will show how hard life has been for Hayley and how, as a result, she has missed much of her daughter's milestones.

Narducci also teased that there will be an epic confrontation between Klaus and Hayley early in the season.

A new human will also be joining the supernatural show. Jason Dohring has landed a recurring role in the upcoming season. The "Veronica Mars" alum has been cast as Detective Will Kinney, set to investigate a crime that happens in the first episode. He will be working with other characters, including Cami. Julie Plec, show creator, teased that Kinney, may dig too deep and may eventually discover the supernatural secrets of the town.

Season three of "The Originals" premieres on Oct. 8, 9 p.m. ET on the CW.
