After an earlier episode of "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 featured Stefan (Paul Wesley) proposing to Caroline (Candice King), which the latter accepted, many fans of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline were disheartened that there may be no more second chance for "Klaroline." However, the latest in the rumor mill is that the events on "The Vampire Diares" may just favor for a reunion between the two beloved vampire characters as their highly clamored-for reunion may happen on "The Vampire Diaries" sister series, "The Originals."

Prior to the airing of "The Vampire Diaries" eighth and final season, there were already rumors claiming that Caroline would rescue Klaus from the ordeal he has been put through in the season 3 finale of "The Originals." However, as "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 episode 2 featured Stefan and Caroline's plan of getting married, fans thought that it would be unlikely for the alleged plot to become a reality.

However, the latest in the rumor mill is that certain events in "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 may just lead Klaus and Caroline to be together once more. Allegedly, "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 main antagonist, Sybil (Nathalie Kelley), will manipulate Damon (Ian Somerhalder) into sabotaging Stefan and Caroline's wedding, hence, there will be no happily-ever-after between the two.

To the uninitiated, Klaus and Caroline became two of the most followed characters on "The Vampire Diaries" when they became an unexpected couple in the past. However, when Morgan left the show to concentrate on "The Vampire Diaries" sister series, "The Originals," his character left the fictional Mystic Falls and headed to New Orleans, which is the setting for "The Originals." Despite the separation of the two in terms of the show that they are part of and their geographical location, many fans are still rooting for the two to be together again.

Will Sybil really ruin Stefan and Caroline's would-be wedding? Is there a chance for Klaus and Caroline once more, this time on "The Originals?"

No one outside the two CW series really knows at this point in time.

"The Vampire Diaries" airs its season 8 on Friday nights over The CW. "The Originals" season 4, on the other hand, is expected to arrive early next year.
