'The Originals' season 4 spoilers, release date: Klaus wakes up from coma; new big bad coming

"The Originals" is all set to release new episodes next year and rumors are rife that Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) vengeance will be the highlighted theme of season 4.
Klaus has put his family first, and his sacrifices ultimately put him in a bad situation. As it can be recalled, in the previous season, Klaus was put in a pain-induced coma by Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and it remains to be seen how the character escapes from the nightmare that he is in. But as the show will go through a time-jump, it is expected that Klaus will recover from the coma as the new season starts.
After his recovery, it is easy to assume that he will have his revenge on Marcel. But in an interview with TVInsider, Morgan reveals what Klaus will do to his former protégé. Marcel may have turned into a monster after taking Lucien's (Andrew Lees) evil potion, but Morgan thinks that Klaus won't kill Marcel.
"I don't think so, unless it's necessary for his survival. The bond with Marcel is one of the show's foundations," he said in the interview. However, when asked if Klaus and Marcel's relationship will ever be mended, Morgan answered that he doesn't know, although he's certain that the two will no longer be spotted having drinks together. The actor also hinted that this rift could start a war.
Meanwhile, following his escape from Marcel's spell, Klaus is said to face a new threat who will be going after him. He will soon have to deal with season 4's big bad believed to be Alistair (Neil Jackson), who has been keeping his grudge against him for centuries. According to Parent Herald, Alistair is somehow connected to a mysterious force that's bound to destroy the children in New Orleans and this will be revealed in the new season.
"The Originals" season 4 returns to The CW sometime in 2017.
