'The Originals' season 4 spoilers: What to expect from episodes 1 to 3?

The fourth season of "The Originals" is set to debut on March 17 on The CW network. Thankfully — for eager fans of the TV show — there have been several bits of information available about the upcoming season for fans to chew on while waiting for the "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off, which is set five years after the season three finale.

The season premiere, titled "Gather Up The Killers," will feature Marcel Gerard, played by Charles Michael Davis, calling upon vampires to come to New Orleans, but she will eventually realize that they might pose a threat. Meanwhile, Hayley Marshall-Kenner (Phoebe Tonkin) will see some progress in finding a treatment for the Mikaelson siblings.

In episode 2 titled "No Quarter," Hayley will find a cure for the siblings. According to its synopsis, "After being cured and woken, the Mikaelson siblings join Hayley in an effort to rescue Klaus from captivity – even if they must face Marcel in the process. Meanwhile, Klaus' demons materialize in unexpected ways as he suffers from the effects of the Tunde Blade, and Vincent (Yusef Gatewood) investigates a haunting that will prove to be much more sinister than he could have imagined."

Meanwhile, episode 3 is bears the title "Haunter Of Ruins," and it will feature a seven-year-old Hope getting to know and bonding with her father. The episode will also show the hunt for a mysterious witch who plans to sacrifice children.

In addition, tension between Hayley and Freya Mikaelson (Riley Voelkel) will brew as the two have different ideas on how to protect the Mikaelson family. Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies) will step in to ease the tension between the two. 

"The Originals" season 4, will debut on Friday, March 17, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW Network.
