'The Vampire Diaries' season 7 episode 6 spoilers: Valerie to cause problems for Stefan and Caroline; Alaric reaches his breaking point

"The Vampire Diaries" returns with an all-new episode next Thursday, Nov. 12.
According to the official episode synopsis for "Best Served Cold," Lily will be hosting a dinner party to celebrate the arrival of former love Julian. Julian, while appearing to be charming and attractive, is actually a monster and "the devil" deep down. Lily introduces Julian to her sons Damon and Stefan. She also declares peace between her family of Heretics and the residents of Mystic Falls.
Damon and Stefan find themselves disagreeing with how to deal with Julian's arrival. "It will end in bloodshed," according to executive producer Caroline Dries.
Stefan will also be struggling in the upcoming episode as Valerie will be causing problems between Stefan and Caroline. In episode five, Stefan had invited Valerie to live with him without consulting Caroline first. "It will start to make [Caroline] insecure about where she stands with him," Dries noted.
On the other hand, Stefan will have a hard time after it seems that he may still have feelings for his first love Valerie. "Stefan will struggle with how to be a good guy to validate his relationships with Valerie and also feel like he's not leaving Caroline in the dust," said Dries.
In the upcoming episode, Alaric will also reach his breaking point after making a devastating realization. In "Live Through This," Alaric finally brought Jo back to life. However, since the Phoenix Stone was populated by a lot of dead souls, it was a different soul that returned to her body.
While "Faux Jo" tries to integrate back to life in Mystic Falls and at Whitmore, Alaric will struggle trying to "handle somebody who looks exactly like your dead wife, but isn't," Dries revealed.
Dries also shed light about how Bonnie ended up with Enzo during the flash forward. During a short scene in an earlier episode, Bonnie and Enzo had a fun spark and good chemistry. "We were like, 'Huh... Let's explore that relationship.' Of course, they have no reason to like each other; in the present day, we've been telling their hate story," said Dries.
Hopefully, viewers will be intrigued and curious to see how their relationship unfolds from hate to love. Meanwhile, in the upcoming episode, Bonnie will be working with Matt. The two will discover a strange mystery involving some unsuspecting residents of Mystic Falls.
Season seven of "The Vampire Diaries" airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on the CW.
