'The Vampire Diaries' season 8 episode 4 spoilers, news: Matt returns as Stefan is stabbed

Sybil is getting more and more serious about the things she wants done as "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 continues with her rule over Damon.
First things first. The synopsis for episode 4, which is titled "An Eternity of Misery," reveals that Zach Roerig will return to reprise his role as Matt as he is forced by his past and present life to return to Mystic Falls.
Matt has had a tragic life as he accidentally killed his wife. In hopes of starting anew, he decided to leave Mystic Falls and was never heard of since then. It would be interesting to see his reasons for returning and why he would be led back to the place that he has been wanting to forget.
Meanwhile, a promo for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 episode 4 teases of a serious conversation between Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) and Stefan (Paul Wesley). The conversation was a result of his joint efforts with Alaric (Matthew Davis) to somehow get Damon (Ian Somerhalder) out of all the trouble Sybil has put him in.
However, Sybil is one tough cookie. She tells Stefan that she has a sister out there though there is nothing more known about this mysterious sibling. She goes on to tell Stefan that Damon's fate has been sealed and just like his brother, he is also "doomed."
Sybil details that while she appears to have been locked up by Stefan and Alaric somewhere in a room with glass windows and steel, her sister is "out there." Could this sister have the same powers as Sybil holds? Is she also on a mission to destroy others?
The teaser also sees Stefan getting stabbed in the back of his neck by a yet-to-be-revealed villain. Who will stab Stefan from the back? Will Sybil be the stronger power who will take over Stefan or will Damon do the honors of taking his own brother's life?
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 episode 4 airs Friday, Nov. 11, 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
