After eight years of offering the brand of entertainment that it has, "The Vampire Diaries" is finally airing its series finale episode this Friday, and fans continue to speculate who will die. While anybody among the cast is a candidate, many suspect that it will be Bonnie (Kat Graham) who will meet her demise as the vampire series comes to a fold.

While many fans are sad that "The Vampire Diaries" is finally coming to an end this week, the upcoming finale of the series also has them guessing as to who may have a sad death in "The Vampire Diaries" mythos. As last week's episode showed Bonnie collapsing on the floor as her nose was bleeding, some fans can't help but suspect that it will be the powerful witch who is likely to die in the series finale.

As the curse of Kai (Chris Wood) on Elena (Nina Dobrev) has tied her return from deep slumber to Bonnie's life, which means that Elena can only wake up when Bonnie dies, suspicions on Bonnie's death have even been bolstered now that the series' finale hints at Elena's return and the bell from hell was rung in last week's episode. 

However, Buddy TV opines that killing Bonnie in the last episode of "The Vampire Diaries" will be predictable. According to the online publication, the show's co-creators Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson are known to deliver unpredictable surprises, hence, it is unlikely that it will be Bonnie who will die as "The Vampire Diaries" concludes. Nonetheless, even if Bonnie survives death, it is expected that she will continue to live a sad life.

Meanwhile, apart from guessing who will die in "The Vampire Diaries" series finale, fans are also wondering whether Dobrev will really return as Elena or the character's doppelganger Katherine. While promo teasers seem to suggest that Elena will return, many believe that it is just Katherine pretending to be Elena. Nonetheless, reports also say that Dobrev will be returning to reprise both her characters.
