'The Winds of Winter' release date: George R.R. Martin to kill another Stark?

(Reuters/Robert Galbraith)Is George R.R. Martin in the process of killing another Stark as he writes "The Winds of Winter?"

The hype for "The Winds of Winter" never dies down, even with George R.R. Martin's failure to release the book before "Game of Thrones" season 6 premiered. However, there are new reports suggesting that the famous author may decide to kill another Stark family member if fans keep pushing him.

This is sad news for many fans who love the highly ironic family who rule the land of "Game of Thrones." It would definitely be a grief-filled moment when fans open "The Winds of Winter," only to find out that another Stark will be murdered or will disappear for good.

Recent reports suggest that the constant questions about the release of the sixth novel in Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series may push the aged author to kill one more Stark as he is not done doing so. Some are then suggesting that readers should give Martin the time he needs to finish the novel. After all, Martin is notoriously known for delaying the launch of his books.

The rumors started in July, when The Daily Telegraph quoted Martin saying: "Every time I get asked when will the next book be finished, I kill a Stark." This could be Martin's warning to the many fans and ecstatic reviewers who are eager to get a hold of "The Winds of Winter."

Meanwhile, rumor has it that the highly anticipated book will be launched in 2017, probably around the same time HBO debuts the seventh season of "Game of Thrones." This is a more believable claim, considering that Martin has already unveiled several chapters of "The Winds of Winter."

It was recently confirmed that production for "Game of Thrones" season 7 has been delayed due to undisclosed issues. Some believe that the series is waiting for Martin to complete "The Winds of Winter" before they release new episodes so as not to put the books too far behind in the story.

Will Martin unleash "The Winds of Winter" before "Game of Thrones" season 7 arrives? Is another Stark prepping for his death when the much awaited book hits book shelves? Stay tuned for more updates.
