Loki, Asgard's God of Mischief, has been one of the most favorite characters and villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With that said, many fans have been eagerly waiting for the confirmation of his appearance in the third "Thor" film titled, "Thor: Ragnarok." However, it seems like Tom Hiddleston is still out of the loop, as he revealed he still has no idea whether or not he will be back to reprise his role.

While speaking with Coming Soon, Hiddleston spilled some details about his character for "Thor: Ragnarok" and as he said, he still has no clue as to what the production has in store for him. "You know, I don't know. I think I won't be able to help it if I ever play him again, and I just don't know when that's gonna happen, if that's gonna happen," the actor said. "I would never lose his dimension, but it's so interesting. I've talked with Chris Hemsworth, how those characters have changed as we've changed. It's five years ago since I played him for the first time. That's a long time ago. So who knows what I'll be cooking up!"

The last time fans saw Loki in the MCU was during the battle with Malekith, when many assumed he died on the realm called Svartalfheim. However, it was later revealed on "Thor: The Dark World" that he is actually alive and was posing as King Odin of Asgard.

With that cliffhanger, it wouldn't be surprising to see Loki come back for the third film. However, it's best for fans to wait for an official announcement. "Thor: Ragnarok" still has no director yet and updates regarding the movie have also been extremely scarce.

Meanwhile, according to Cinemablend, it's quite possible that Marvel still just hasn't told Hiddleston about their plans for him in the film. One reason is because of his rising fame and many fans will probably ask him about the details of the movie.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 28, 2017.
