Despite the lukewarm reception that "Transformers: Age of Extinction", the franchise's fourth movie, received at the box-office, there are still talks of a fifth one. Looks like Planet Earth is in no hurry to get rid of "Transformers" anytime soon.

The fifth movie will still focus on the fight between the Decepticons and Autobots, but with a twist. Autobots will have Mechanoid's fighting for the same side against the Decepticons. Comic book fans will see the likes of Ultra Magnus, Red Alert and Override in the Mechanoid camp, with Magnus joining forces as a result of his history with Galvatron. But things aren't so heavily skewed in the Autobot's favor as their makers, Quintessons will be supporting Decepticons. Fans may recall that, towards the end of the fourth movie, Optimus Prime blasted off to space to go to the Quintessons, their creator, in order to glean the reason behind the presence of so many transformers on Earth.

The battle will be Autobots and Mechanoids vs. Decepticons and Quintessons. Cyclonus, Scourge and Blitzwig will form the trio of villains for the upcoming "Transformers 5" movie. Oscar nominated actor Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role as Cade Yeager, but director Michael Bay will not be directing future "Transformers" movies. Instead, Jonathan Liebesman will be taking Bay's place.

While the movie is slated to release on June 24, 2016, there are rumors that it may be delayed, pushing the release closer to 2017. Rumors are circulating on the Internet that actors Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis may be a part of the upcoming movie. This could signal a crossover between "Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" as the two actors appeared in the "G.I. Joe: Retribution" movie. Moreover, both franchises are owned by Hasbro. If this is true, Hasbro could be borrowing a tried and tested recipe of success from Marvel's cookbook.
