Latest rumors circulating "Transformers 5" claim that Michael Bay is going to return as the director for the fifth installment of the film series, along with Megan Fox.

Bay and Fox previously had a falling out before the initial release of "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen." Apparently, the two big names got into an argument, which lead Fox to reportedly call or associate the seasoned director with World War II dictator, Adolf Hitler, Christian Today reports.

However, after several years, both Bay and Fox have moved on from their argument and finally made peace with each other. In fact, Fox went on to play the female lead, April O'Neil, in the 2014 movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles" and will again star in the sequel, which Michael Bay is a producer of. And the fact that they are again working together is the main reason why Fox is being rumored to return in the next installment of the franchise.

As for Bay returning to the director's chair, there has not been any confirmation yet. However, Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura was apprehensive about the director leaving the franchise, as reported on Slash Film. Bonaventura knows that Bay leaving the set is unavoidable but he is hoping that it will not happen anytime soon.

Mark Wahlberg, on the other hand, says that Bay will probably return as director for the fifth installment in the franchise as when Collider asked him early last month whether he thinks he will come back to direct, he said "yes."

As for details of the upcoming "Transformers 5," the actor revealed that he, too, is being kept in the dark. The actor said, "I don't. Just that Akiva [Goldsman] and those guys are starting to write and break stories, and stuff like that. But [Michael] Bay is in Malta shooting Benghazi, and I'm in New Orleans shooting Deepwater. We'll get together when he gets back."

No specific date has been released for "Transformers 5"  but it is expected to hit theaters on 2017.
